On cold and rainy days like today I really have to On cold and rainy days like today I really have to convince myself to leave my cozy warm home. I might be freezing, I might be miserable, but it is always worth it. So get out there. Will do, too. 😉
It's been quite a while that I have undertaken the It's been quite a while that I have undertaken the last mountain tour in the Grunewald - but today I hiked with all my future PCT gear and creepy mood up the Devil’s and Dragon Mountain. And boy, it's exhausting to groan up the ski slope from the very bottom with a heavy backpack. There's nothing to sugarcoat that. At least I can say I wasn't cold on the climb. 😅 As expected, today was not particularly busy on both mountains. Every now and then I saw an irradiated person wafting through the fog. View equal to zero. ;)
Strahlender Sonnenschein, klirrende Kälte: Perfek Strahlender Sonnenschein, klirrende Kälte: Perfekt, um mal wieder eine Testwanderung anzugehen. Während manch eine ausprobierte, ob die Gliedmaßen inzwischen die letzte 30 km-Tour vergeben haben, bin ich heute mit meiner kompletten Ausrüstung und Proviant für drei Tage losgestapft. Mit nur 8,5 Kilo für Zelt, Schlafsack, Klamotten und allem anderen plus eben Essen, Wasser und einer Thermoskanne Glühwein war ich mit dem Gewicht absolut zufrieden. Rucksack trägt sich wie ein Wölkchen. Das sollte den Start auf dem PCT in vier Monaten erleichtern. Die Glindower Alpen übrigens sind ein schönes Gebiet, protzen aber schon ordentlich mit dem Namen. Einige Höhenmeter gibt es zwar, ins Schwitzen bringen die einen aber nicht - schon gar nicht bei Minusgraden. 🥶 Die Luft war super klar und jedes Ausziehen der Handschuhe für ein schnelles Foto hat ziemlich gezeckt. Die tolle Atmosphäre aber wollte unbedingt eingefangen werden. Die fünf Rehe allerdings, die uns über den Weg hüpften, waren für die Kamera dann doch zu flink. 🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌
